 That Who has many Names

I have been around for a long time.

Way before anyone imagined you.

You give me a story, I give you one back.

Do you have anything to say to me?

Because I have a strong memory.

They call me Alef—LOO-loo.

Memory like an elephant and pressurized like a pearl.

I can live anywhere and I have…

But I prefer to remain underwater.

Laziness weakens me.

Stories are meant to be shared.

I am fascinated by human curiosity.

People inspire me to look deep into space and far Far inside my thoughts.

I like to snack on whale poop bits drifting down to the sea floor.

You will find me hanging around in a tree.

Ironic, of course, because I usually spend my time underwater.  Still, as you can see, I climb trees gracefully.

I am made of colorful clay, leather, metal, wire, pine cones, fabric, rope, sturdy thread and love.
